D'Youville College Administration Building
The Koessler Administration Building is the oldest building on the D'Youville College campus as well as a historical landmark in Buffalo. Constructed at the end of the 19th century the building houses the offices of D'Youville's President and other central administration officials.
Acting as General Contractor, John W. Danforth Company installed the Air Conditioning for the five-story Administration Building. This work was completed while the building was occupied.
Danforth was also responsible for the heating conversion in this building. This conversion involved changing the building's steam heating to hot water heating.
Maintaining the historic integrity of the building was one challenge Danforth faced. With proper coordination and planning, we were able to complete the job on time and to the customer’s satisfaction.
