Larkin at Exchange Building
The Larkin at Exchange Building (known as the LCO Building) was built in 1912. This 600,000 square foot building, located in downtown Buffalo was purchased by CityView Properties in June 2002. The company invested in all, around $40 million dollars in the rehabilitation of the building.
John W. Danforth Company was proud to take part in the rehabilitation with contracts totaling over $6,000,000.
Danforth provided HVAC installation for Tenant Build-outs on various floor as well as stair system pressurization to meet NFPA codes. Danforth is credited with performing build-out for several Larkin at Exchange tenants including: Kaleida Health, US Customs, and First Niagara Financial Group. Danforth also completed work on a ventilation system for US Customs for the secure area and vault.
In 2006, the building is occupied nearly at capacity and has proven to be a successful reclamation of existing city buildings.
