Niagara Falls High School

Niagara Falls High SchoolThis new 350,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility was the first privately funded public school built in New York State. The facility includes four separate academic wings connected by a technology core. Other features of the 64 million dollar project are a 1,700 seat theater, a distance-learning lab, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and the information technology core with its 2-1/2 story atrium. John W. Danforth installed an energy efficient HVAC system which included a sophisticated, direct digitally controlled heat recovery system minimizing utility cost for the owner. The academic wing is supplied with conditioned air from two 76,000 cfm penthouse air handling units. Individual classroom comfort is provided by individual variable air volume boxes equipped with steam feed reheat coils.
