Pittsford Schools-Sutherland High School
Pittsford CSD - Sutherland High School
Completed in the fall of 2006, this $106-million revitalization project at Pittsford Sutherland High School proved to be a challenging project.
The main entrance of the school was redesigned and relocated to what's currently considered the back of the school. The renovation included a new bus loop as well as a new gym, library, and classrooms.
John W. Danforth Company was awarded the HVAC contract of nearly $4,000,000.
The biggest challenge for our crews was getting the new boiler into the existing mechanical room. The mechanical room was accessible only from the courtyard in the center of the school. Thinking outside of the box, Danforth crews craned the new boiler in and cleared the opening by a mere FOUR INCHES!
