Danforth Announces Promotions of Staub, Optis, Jr., DeLotto and Reagan to Project Executive

The John W. Danforth Company is pleased to announce promotions of four Senior Project Managers to Project Executive, effective immediately. Please read below to learn more about each of their accomplishments. Please join us in congratulating them and supporting them in their new roles.

Mark Staub
Mark joined John W. Danforth Company in 2005 and held the position of Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager prior to his promotion. From 2005 to 2013 he worked out of Danforth’s Tonawanda office. Starting in the summer of 2013, Mark transitioned to Malta, NY where he worked with a project management team at the GlobalFoundries site. In January 2016, Mark was promoted to Sr. Project Manager, gaining responsibilities overseeing projects outside of GlobalFoundries in the new Eastern, NY Danforth office. Shortly thereafter in June 2016, Mark moved to Syracuse, NY where he has played a key role in the development of our Syracuse operations.

This promotion recognizes the contributions and commitment Mark has made to Danforth during his employment. Moving forward, Mark will focus on Danforth’s Syracuse operations. Please join us in congratulating Mark and wishing him continued success at our company.

Mark will report to John Samar and will continue to work out of the Syracuse office.

Nick Optis, Jr.
Nick is a graduate of Alfred State College with a degree in Construction Management. He joined John W. Danforth Company full time in 2010, holding the position of Senior Project Manager prior to his promotion.

Over the course of Nick’s tenure with Danforth, he has managed many large scale (Golisano Children’s Hospital and del Lago Resort and Casino), high profile projects with great success, high margins, integrity and performance.

In his new role, Nick is responsible for the overall execution and day-to-day operating activities for contracted work in Danforth’s Rochester office. Other areas of responsibility include project management mentoring, union relations, purchasing and sub-contractor management, and fabrication shops.

Nick is a UA Local 13 Trustee and Board Member of the Rochester Mechanical Contractors Association.

Nick will report to John Samar and will continue to work out of the Rochester office.

Richard DeLotto
Since joining Danforth in 2007, Rich has held various roles including Project Administrator, Project Manager and most recently was promoted to Sr. Project Manager in April of 2016. Rich is a graduate of The College at Brockport with a BS in Business/Pre-Law and a minor in Finance. Rich has worked out of both the Rochester and Buffalo offices, managing complex multi-million dollar projects in the HVAC, plumbing and process industries, and most recently led a divisional team with high performance and sustained success.

In his new role, Rich will further develop and be accountable to his teams, who are responsible for executing a large portion of Danforth’s Buffalo operations on an annual basis. As an operational leader, Rich will collaborate with all departments to ensure the Operations group continues to deliver industry leading experiences both internally and externally to our clients every day.

Rich will report to John Samar and will continue to work out of the Buffalo office.

Tom Reagan
Tom joined John W. Danforth Company in 1982 and held the field positions of Journeyman Pipefitter, Foreman, and General Foremen until his transition into the office in 2008. Over the last 11 years, Tom has held the position of Labor Coordinator, Project Manager and most recently as Senior Project Manager.

This promotion recognizes the contributions and commitment Tom has made to Danforth during his employment. Tom is a leader in industrial construction including decades of experience at Olin, DuPont, Oxy, GM, Ford and many others. His understanding of industrial construction is an asset to the entire Company.

Moving forward, Tom will focus on assisting his team’s development in project management and financial accountability, as well as collaborate with all departments to insure our success on small to midsize projects.

Tom will report to John Samar and will continue to work out of the Buffalo office.
