Bethlehem CSD Energy Performance Contract

Bethlehem CSD has completed a Detailed Energy Audit (DEA) with the Danforth Team. Currently, Danforth is awaiting the final go-ahead from the District.

During the DEA, Danforth has had the opportunity to analyze the School District’s energy usage and has identified several Facility Improvement Measures (FIMS) to increase facility energy efficiency. The Team will implement mechanical, lighting, controls, and building envelope improvements. Mechanical upgrades include the installation an economizer in the data center cooling system, pipe and valve insulation, and the installation of new boilers. Lighting will be enhanced through LED interior and exterior lighting upgrades. Controls will be added to the interior lighting, walk in freezer, as well as the addition of demand ventilation controls. Building envelope improvements will be made along with the installation of new windows.

After implementation, this project will result in an annual energy savings of $266,000.
