VA Medical Center Cleanroom & Laboratory Design-Build and Certification Services

In 2010 the Danforth Team was awarded a contract to renovate Buffalo VA Medical Center’s existing Pharmacy Cleanroom to meet USP 797 standards. Danforth provided a modular temporary Cleanroom as part of the project to maintain Cleanroom functions during renovation/construction of main Cleanroom facilities.

Danforth’s Cleanroom and Laboratory Solutions division has been performing annual and semi-annual certification services to the VA Medical Center including the Pharmacy Cleanrooms, Main Hospital equipment, and Building 20 Laboratory equipment. Certification services consist of:

  • Semi-annual certification of Pharmacy Cleanrooms to USP 797 standards
  • Biological safety cabinet
  • Laminar flow benches
  • Non-viable particle counts
  • HEPA filter leak testing
  • Viable environmental sampling
  • Annual certification of biological safety cabinets to NSF-49 standards
  • Annual certification of laminar flow benches to IEST standards
  • Annual performance testing / certification of chemical fume hoods in accordance with ANSI Z9.5 standards
