GlobalFoundries Mechanical Contract

Danforth was awarded the HVAC Piping & Ductwork, Process Ductwork and Plumbing contracts for the TDC project which was a 565,000 ft expansion of the Fab 8 campus.

The facility was originally slated to house research and development but due to production requirements, was redesigned to become a fabrication facility. Danforth was presented with an aggressive schedule due to the highly fluid design changes. These changes required Danforth’s CADD, Fabrication and Installation experts to adapt rapidly as the redesign was developed.

As a secondary part of the project, Danforth completed the mechanical systems portion of the M-Cub that was dedicated to the support of the TDC manufacturing building.

Although this project was an extremely challenging installation, Danforth was able to successfully deliver the systems required to meet every critical project milestone in support of GlobalFoundries’ production launch.
