Monroe Community Hospital Energy Performance Contract

Danforth replaced and upgraded multiple building systems with the new energy efficient systems and assisted in obtaining a Certificate of Need (CON) from New York State.

In order to optimize system efficiency, Danforth replaced outdated, inefficient lighting and installed lighting controls to optimize performance. To further improve energy efficiency, Danforth evaluated the laundry and kitchen areas and installed upgrades on the facility’s ventilation/heat recovery along with replacing all air handling units with new energy efficient units.

The scope of work also included providing temporary heating while replacement was taking place, upgraded VAV boxes, installation of VSD’s and pumping systems throughout the facility, installation of a new DDC control system and employed control strategies to reduce energy consumption while improving occupant comfort, and lastly provided automated fire suppression sprinkler system throughout the facility.
