US Federal Courthouse Mechanical Contract

Danforth was awarded the mechanical contract for the U.S. Federal Courthouse project located in Downtown Buffalo, New York. This project involved construction of a 10-story office building which includes courtrooms for the Regional Federal Courts. Also located in the new building will be office space to accommodate the US District Court in Buffalo.

The building design incorporated standard HVAC and plumbing systems installed by Danforth. Danforth deployed its Trimble TSI field layout tool to field map pipe and hanger locations, because of the unique shape of the building. Danforth served as the “single solution provider” for all coordination relating to HVAC and plumbing on the project.

Our team self-performed balancing services that led to the identification of mechanical system design conflicts. Subsequent services included changes to the building automation system sequence of operations to improve mechanical functionality and to ensure pressurization of building spaces.
